PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vacuum circuit breaker, having a spring device that can reduce the number of components, can be unitized in assembly, and can facilitate the assembly. SOLUTION: The vacuum circuit breaker stores and holds a vacuum valve, having a fixed electrode and a movable one, in an insulating frame and rotates an insulating lever around a drive shaft, hence drives a pressure rod in open/close directions via a pressure spring, and has an open spring device for giving open force to the movable electrode at one end side of the drive shaft. In the vacuum circuit breaker, an open spring device 13 comprises an open spring 14 having open spring force; an energy-storing lever 15 that is stuck to a drive shaft 12 and engages one end of the open spring 14; and a spring/bearing holder 16 that is mounted to an insulating frame 2, engages the other end side of the open spring 14, and has a bearing section 16b for supporting the drive shaft 12 rotatably.
