PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear for an internal combustion engine constituted by providing a suspension part having a truly round shape for closing and suspending an intake valve and an exhaust valve in a cam shaft and abutting a driving rocker arm on an intake valve side connected and operating in the interlocking relationship with the intake valve and a driving rocker arm on an exhaust valve side connected and operating in the interlocking relationship with the exhaust valve on the suspension part, respectively, to shorten length of the cam shaft in the axial direction and reduce machining man-hour. SOLUTION: The driving rocker arms 36, 37 on the intake valve side and the driving rocker arms 44, 45 on the exhaust valve side arranged by overlapping projection onto a plane including an axial line of the cam shaft 28 at least partially are abutted on the common suspension parts 33<SB>1</SB>and 33<SB>2</SB>.
