PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle assembly of a fishing reel, wherein a handle grip can be held in an optional direction. SOLUTION: This handle assembly 2 comprises a handle arm 6, a handle grip 7 rotatably mounted on one end of the handle arm 6, and a metal grip shaft 8 for rotatably mounting the handle grip 7 on the handle arm 6. The handle grip 7 comprises a grip main body 70 rotatably mounted on the grip shaft 8 and extended in both the directions crossing the grip shaft 8, eight receiving dents 71 disposed at positions deviated from the center of gravity of the grip main body 70, and three weight bodies 72 capable of being selectively mounted into three receiving dents 71 among the eight receiving dents 71. Since the three weight bodies 72 are mounted in the three obliquely lower receiving dents 71, the grip main body 70 can be held in the obliquely lower direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
