PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent production of noise due to an externally incoming electromagnetic wave in a side entry type condenser microphone. SOLUTION: The side entry type condenser microphone includes: a metal-made head case section 10 formed into an almost cylindrical shape the upper part of which is covered by a metal-made net 12 and in the internal space of which a microphone unit 13 is arranged via support members 14a, 14b; and a metal-made shell 20 whose upper end supports the head case section 10. The single body of the head case section 10 completes electrostatic shielding by fitting a circuit board mounted with a sound output circuit including an impedance converter into a lower opening of the head case section 10 supported by the shell 20 by directing the circuit mount side 21a to a case inner face side in a way of closing the lower opening.
