PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a back projection video device wherein a projection unit which is a main component of the back projection type video device and a chassis to which various circuit boards for driving and controlling the projection unit are assembled are at least made common and whose housing is thinned as a whole. SOLUTION: The angle of a reflection mirror 9 mounted to an upper cabinet 3 and the mounting angle of the projection unit 15 are set according to the inch size of screens 7 and 7a. A supporting frame 20 to which the projection unit 15 is mounted is equipped with a bottom board part 20a and a rising part 20b, and the projection unit 15 is fixed on the rising part 20b. The angle of the rising part 20b to the bottom board part 20a is set corresponding to the inch size, and then the mounting angle of the projection unit 15 is set.
