A fastening element (10)for an implant, in particular a hip prosthesis, provided with a substantially plate-shaped supporting element (22) and a pin (28) extending from the supporting element (22) for attaching the fastening element (10) in a position in which the pin (28) extends, at least largely, into a bone (1), wherein the pin (28) has a longitudinal axis which includes an angle with a main surface of the supporting element (22) such that during use, the supporting element (22) abuts against a sawn-off surface (14) of the bone and the longitudinal axis of the pin extends at an angle relative to said surface (14), the supporting element (22) comprising, on the side remote from the pin (28), a coupling element (20) for a further part (6A) of a prosthesis while an outside of the pin (28) is provided with attaching means for bone cement or such bonding agent. |
