<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of leading out refrigerant piping from the side face of an air conditioner body without lowering the strength of a lead-out part of the refrigerant piping. <P>SOLUTION: A side face 5a of a heat exchange chamber 42 is cut out to form a piping leading-out cutout part 210 for leading out refrigerant piping 61, and a piping presser plate 230 is mounted to cover the piping lead-out cutout part 210 to hold down the refrigerant piping 61. The piping presser plate 230 is provided with strength reinforcing ribs 236A, 236B corresponding to both right and left edges of the piping lead-out cutout part 210.
