PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing information for a device existing in a household affair and a work environment, and communication equipment that operates according to the method. SOLUTION: In this method for data transmission to an information display, a data subset 22 is displayed to a user from a data universal set 26 of device data 12, the data subset 22 is retrieved at the center according to the configuration of the information display 6. Also, in the communication equipment that operates by the method, at least one information display 6 for displaying the device data is coupled with a central calculation unit 2 for determining the data subset 22 from the data universal set 26 of the device data 12 of at least one terminal device 4, and the terminal device is connected to the central calculation unit 2 at an input side to prepare the device data 12.
