PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing metal mounting structure with a bearing metal and a bearing part easy to manufacture and easy to mount without the need for special machining. SOLUTION: A crank metal 10 consisting of a pair of metal halves 11, 11 in semicircular cross section is mounted on the bearing part 20 consisting of a lower bearing portion 21 having a pair of circumferential bearing faces 22, 31 in semicircular cross section and a bearing cap 30. The metal half 11 has an inner periphery sliding face 12, a vertical side face 14 continued with the inner periphery sliding face, and an outer peripheral face 13. The bearing part 20 is formed with a stepped face having circumferential bearing faces 22, 31 for bearing the outer peripheral faces of the metal halves 11, 11 and positioning ribs 23, 32 provided concentrically with the circumferential bearing faces, on which the vertical side face 14 abuts. After the vertical side face 14 of the crank metal 10 abuts on vertical faces 24, 33 of the positioning ribs, the outer peripheral face 13 is put in close contact with the circumferential bearing faces 22, 31.
