PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed manufacturing method of effectively manufacturing a preform for a hollow molded body showing excellent transparency and little variation of transparency, preventing generation of acetaldehyde during molding, having stable dimensional accuracy of a mouth, and having pressure resistance or heat resisting dimensional stability, and to provide a manufacturing method of a polyester stretched molded body by the method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the polyester preform formed of a polyester composition mainly containing at least two kinds of polyesters each containing ethylene terephthalate as a principal repeating unit is characterized in that the difference of limiting viscosities between at least two polyesters is 0.05 to 0.30 deciliter/g and the content of the carboxyl terminal groups of at least one polyester is 7 to 30% of the total terminal groups of the polyesters, and that the polyester composition is kneaded and formed at a temperature of the molten resin of 260 to 295°C in a forming machine for residence time of 10 to 500 seconds in the forming machine.
