<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a technique for setting a threshold applied to a pattern image in order to acquire three-dimensional information as to a technique for acquiring three-dimensional information on an object on the basis of a pattern image acquired by imaging the object onto which pattern light is projected. <P>SOLUTION: According to space frequency characteristics on each portion of the pattern image, a space filter (width which is the column-wise size of a variable window VW, for example) is set for each portion of the pattern image. Further, according to image information acquired with the space filter applied to each portion of the pattern image, a threshold value TH is set for each portion, the threshold value TH being applied to each portion of the pattern image in order to acquire three-dimensional information on the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
