PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop device for a hydraulic travel device comparatively easily assembled to mainly a construction working vehicle equipped with no emergency stop device. SOLUTION: The emergency stop device for the hydraulic travel device is constituted such that an emergency stop means provided at the construction working vehicle equipped with the hydraulic travel device and an artificial operating tool 4 for artificially operating the actuation of the hydraulic travel device, urgently stops backward travel performed by the hydraulic travel device when a sensor 14 provided at the construction working vehicle detects the presence of an obstacle within a predetermined range behind the construction working vehicle when traveling backward by the hydraulic travel device. The emergency stop means is composed of a forcible operating mechanism 5 directly acting upon the artificial operating tool 4 to forcibly operate the artificial operating tool 4 into the stop position of the hydraulic travel device 2.
