PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device by which the limit number of originals for bookbinding can be increased without changing the limit number of paper sheets possible for saddle stitching. SOLUTION: An image rotation section 823 decides the direction of a formed image to a recording body depending on whether a book is open to the right or left and whether an original is longitudinally or laterally long in the case that a copying machine 10 conducts bookbinding. Then an image layout section 824 decides layout of an image formed on the recording body. Furthermore, an original image for 8 pages is formed on the one recording body on the basis of this layout. Thus, the limit number of originals for bookbinding can be increased without changing the limit number of paper sheets possible for saddle stitching. |
