<p>An apparatus for slicing loaves of bread comprises a housing, a reciprocatin g cutting blade assembly mounted within the housing, an angled table for the movement of loaves towards the reciprocating cutting blade assembly, and a means for feeding loaves along the angled table to the cutting blade assembly.
