The device (4) has a protecting unit (22) constituted of a support tube, an intermediate tube and an upper tube. The diameter of the support tube is greater than the intermediate tube`s diameter, which is greater than the upper tube`s diameter. A partitioning unit (24) of the unit (22) is in the form of a sliding cover (25) that permits to avoid accessing of a conveyor belt by external contaminants through the unit (22).
