PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose combine harvester capable of perfectly collecting stems/sheath, etc. and the threshed discharge culms and intermittently discharging those. SOLUTION: The general-purpose combine harvester is equipped with a discharged culms-collecting apparatus 34 for opening a discharge port 33 of discharged culms behind the threshing apparatus 18, receiving a prescribed amount of discharged culms on a culm-collecting receiver 37 below the discharge port 33 and intermittently releasing the discharged culms by lowering swinging of the culm-collecting receiver 37. In the general-purpose combine harvester, a cover body 35 formed so as to enclose the rear part of the discharge port 33 and the upper part of the discharged culm-collecting apparatus 34 and equipped with a hollow part 35d in which the discharge port 33 is made to communicate with the discharge culms-collecting receiver 37 is installed.
