PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound inspection method and a sound production inspection device for eliminating unfulfillment of a test by operator's mistake and attaining equalization of a test reference. SOLUTION: The sound production inspection device mounted on a vehicle is configured to include a sound output unit 1, and inspects sound outputted from a speaker 14 of the sound output unit. The device is characterized in that it comprises a microphone 20 for collecting sound outputted from the speaker, a sound data generation means 22 for generating sound data from the sound collected by the microphone, an analysis means 24 for analyzing the sound data, a determination means 26 for determining whether a predetermined sound is outputted or not by judging whether the sound outputted from the speaker is approximate to the sound collected or not based on the result of the analysis, and an output means 28 for outputting the result of the determination by the determination means.
