PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device which enables a horizontal member to be surely and firmly joined to a structural member. SOLUTION: This joint device comprises: a pair of reinforcing plates 8 and 8 which are housed in an engaging groove 7, longitudinally provided in the end surface of the horizontal member 1, by being fastened in the state of being superposed on each of opposed side walls of the engaging groove 7; a latching rod 5 which is horizontally provided at the end of the horizontal member 1 via the end surface-side upper parts of the reinforcing plates 8 and 8; and a joint rod 6 which joins a supporting plate 18, and the reinforcing plate 8 and the end of the horizontal member 1 to one another, when the pair of supporting plates 18 and 18 having upper end equipped with a fitting notch 20 for fitting and latching the latching rod 5 and protrusively provided on the side surface of a column 3 is slidably fitted into the engaging groove 7 in the state of being interposed between the pair of reinforcing plates 8 and 8. Additionally, the pair of reinforcing plates 8 and 8 is integrated with each other by means of an intermediation piece 9 which is laid between the upper ends of the reinforcing plates.
