PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting receiver, the operation of which by a remote controller is simplified and the user interface of which is simple and easy to use. SOLUTION: When a page switching key 17i shown in Fig. 3 is depressed, pages of an electronic program guide are switched. When a [V] button of the page switching key 17i is depressed, a control section 56 switches the pages of the electronic program guide in the direction of time. Thus, a menu shown in Fig. 6 is displayed from a menu of Fig. 4. Fig. 6 indicates the contents temporally of the future, with respect to Fig. 4 in comparing both. The [V] button is used to switch the pages in a time advancing direction. Further, a button [Λ] is used to switch the pages in a time setback direction. Buttons [<], [>] are used to switch the pages with respect to channel display. The page switching key 17i can be used as page-switching keys in longitudinal and lateral directions, in application of a longitudinal/lateral configuration, such as the program guide in this way.
