PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut type suspension capable of generating moment around a king pin shaft under a predetermined circumstance while preventing a factor of deflection of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The strut type suspension is provided with a shock absorber having an upper end supported on a vehicle body and a lower end supported on a wheel side member; an upper spring seat 42a; a lower spring seat 42b fixed to the shock absorber 30; and a coil spring 40 arranged between the upper spring seat 42a and the lower spring seat 42b so as to surround the shock absorber 30. In the vehicle standard state that a steering angle is at a neutral position and the vehicle is stopped, a coil central axis of the coil spring 40 and the king pin shaft are crossed and the coil central axis of the coil spring 40 and the absorber axis form an angle larger than zero in a side view of the vehicle.
