PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating data (half Fourier nuclear magnetic resonance imaging method) which enables high-speed imaging by an MRI apparatus showing bad operating characteristics of a gradient magnetic field by reducing time for imaging and by speeding up the processing after imaging through improving a data collecting method and an image reconstructing method, and an imaging apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The data is two-dimensionally arrayed (rows and columns) in a k space in which magnetically resonating phases of spins are encoded in two directions by varying the gradient magnetic field. In the method for creating the data at the time, the k space is divided into two with the central point used as the boundary. One is used for collecting even numbered row data, and the other is used for collecting odd-numbered row data. The divided other data becomes the entire data in the k space by folding one data symmetrically (symmetrically about a point) at the center of the k space and by interpolating it.
