PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal insertion device capable of preventing lowering of operation efficiency and capable of mounting a connector housing, into which a terminal fitting is inserted, at a correct position of a cable holding means. SOLUTION: The terminal insertion device is composed of a cable holding unit 11, a housing holding unit 12, and an insertion unit 14. The cable holding unit 11 holds a cable 5 having a terminal fitting 6. The housing holding unit 12 holds the connector housing 3. The insertion unit 14 inserts the terminal fitting 6, fitted to the cable 5 held by the cable holding unit 11, into a terminal housing chamber of the connector housing 3. The insertion unit 14 transfers the cable 5 to the cable holding unit 11 while holding the cable 5 having a lastly inserted terminal fitting 6, and makes the cable holding unit 11 hold the cable.
