PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine output information, such as the output destination of images, automatically based on color information included in an image pattern by enabling the color of the image pattern given to a prescribed position of a manuscript to be recognized. SOLUTION: An image input/output device comprises a reading means for reading the image of the manuscript 11 as image data; an output means for outputting the image data; a recognition means for recognizing the color of the image pattern at a prescribed position of the manuscript 11; and a registration means for registering an output destination correspondence table for correlating the color of the image pattern with the output destination of the image data in advance. The output means outputs the image data to the output destination that is determined by referring to the output destination correspondence table, based on the color of the recognized image pattern.
