PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs and to realize downsizing of a device by permitting inclination in one direction in the plane view of a CIS and making the longitudinal direction of the CIS parallel with a main scanning direction in the most inclined state. SOLUTION: In the case where parts 5A of the CIS 5 are positioned on the outer side of the engaging part 4a of a holder 4, the interval L1 of the parts 5A of the CIS 5 is made larger than the width L2 of the engaging part 4A of the holder 4 with the side (front surface side) opposite to the side (back surface side) where a shaft 3 is shifted in the main scanning direction as a reference. That is, at the time of outward movement in which the read operation of the CIS 5 is executed, a tolerance is formed on the side on which the part 5A of the CIS 5 is abutted to the engaging part 4A of the holder 4 by rotation generated in the CIS 5, as a reference.
