PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in the removal of water by high-speed jets, wherein water remains in hands because small water droplets are hardly removed though large water drops can be removed; and to remove small water droplets by spraying powder to absorb water and blowing the powder with high-speed wind. SOLUTION: The hand drying apparatus sprays powder and removes the most of water with high-speed wind. A little water left in hands is adsorbed in the absorbent powder, and the powder is removed from the hands with high-speed air.
