CLUTCH BRAKE

A clutch brake (30) is provided that includes a brake housing (44) adapted to be non-movably secured relative to a driveline master clutch (34). The brake housing (44) includes a through-hole (46) sized to allow passage of a shaft (38) and at least one source of magnetic flux (48). The clutch brake (30) also includes an armature (50) secured for rotation with the shaft (38) and positioned axially adjacent the brake housing (44) in a disengaged state. At least a portion of the armature (50) is adapted to move axially on the shaft (38) in the presence of magnetic flux (53) to contact the brake housing (44) in an engaged state and inhibit rotation of the armature (50) and the shaft (38).
