PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveling rod for an electronic level capable of recognizing surely an array pattern by the electronic level, of course in a portion incapable of obtaining sufficient luminous energy, and also even in a relatively bright portion. SOLUTION: A prescribed length of transparent reflector 10 is applied along an axial direction. A plurality of reflecting parts 15 having a prescribed width comprising notches 14 exhibiting a substantially serrated shape along a direction crossing the reflector is formed with a prescribed pattern in the reflector. The reflecting parts 15 are irradiated with a light emitting diode 21. A face corresponding to the reflecting part 15 gets bright therein to serve as a "bright part", and unworked part serves as a "dark part".
