<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and efficiently mount a sensor to an automatic door panel in a short time by a small number of people. <P>SOLUTION: The sensor mounting device is for mounting a safety sensor/safety and starting sensor to an automatic door panel, including a holder/internal case to contain and protect the sensor as well as a connecting member/clamping and connecting member to attach and detach the holder/internal case to and from the mounting part defined hereinafter, and is fixed on the panel, or otherwise is previously provided. The holder/internal case is horizontally moved and closely contacted to the mounting part of C-shaped cross section without having it inserted and fitted through the upper end or the lower end of the mounting part.
