PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that steam is not efficiently generated in a center part where temperature becomes high, so as to deteriorate cooking performance, since water is distributed when water is lessened in steaming cooking though no problem occurs in the case of much water in the bottom part concerning the bottom shape of a conventional cooking vessel. SOLUTION: The vessel includes a square tray 6 for storing water, which is formed of a metallic material such as aluminum and where a heat generation body 15 for heating by absorbing microwave is arranged on the rear surface; a drainboard 7 which is placed on the square tray 6 and provided with a food placement surface 23 where a plurality of through-holes 22 to pass steam are pierced; and a lid 8 for covering the drainboard 7.
