ARRAY ANTENNA RECEIVER, ARRAY ANTENNA TRANSMITTER, ARRAY ANTENNA COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND CORRECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform calibration for the entire transmission system and the entire reception system without using a measurement instrument other than an apparatus and by using an adaptive array antenna itself.

SOLUTION: One of antenna cables 103a, 103b is connected to an external terminal 102 outside the apparatus and a calibration signal switching means 110 is operated to output a calibration signal to one of calibration signal input means 104a, 104b from the terminal 102. Further, the calibration signal switching means 110 is operated to apply the calibration signal to a branch selection means 111 and to output the calibration signal to a branch selected by a branch selection means 111. A reception calibration processing means 108 obtains respective gains and phase amounts of the entire reception system in both the cases and obtains a gain and a phase error amount from a calibration signal input means to an antenna end.
