PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and the like which has effective inherent functions for diagnosing a structure such as a tumor within a living body, hemangioma of the liver, for example. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic waves by a relatively strong mechanical index are intermittently transmitted to a target of a structure such as the tumor within the living body or ultrasonic waves with a mechanical index which is periodically varied are transmitted to the target for dynamically moving the structure. Movements caused in the above way can be observed as fluttering signal or the like of brightness texture information in a B-mode image, for example. Also, by using an M-mode still image relating to the movements of the structure, an evaluation index based on a signal change amount relating to a predetermined time region in a predetermined position is calculated and is presented to an observer in a predetermined format.
