PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe washing machine capable of preventing adhesion of leaking water from a fastening part of an outside hose and a hose attaching part to electric parts. SOLUTION: This washing machine comprises a top plate (not indicated) disposed on the upper part of a water tub 2 enclosing a washing/dewatering tub (not indicated), a water supply valve 16 mounted inside a control box 13 disposed on the top plate for feeding water into the water tub 2, the hose attaching part 17 which is connected to the outside hose 14 and whose lower end communicates with the water supply valve 16, and a drain guide 22 for receiving and draining the leaking water from the attaching part of the outside hose 14 and the hose attaching part 17. The drain guide 22 is disposed above a water level detecting means 21 which is disposed under the water feeding valve 16 and held between the upper surface of the control box 13 and the lower part of the hose attaching part 17. Since the leaking water from the attaching part of the outside hose 14 is received by the drain guide 22 and drained, adhesion of water to the water level detecting means 21 thereunder or submergence of the water level detecting means 21 can be prevented.
