PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture apparatus in which taking in and out and transportation of an incubator are mechanized to improve the operation efficiency, and cross contamination is hardly caused. SOLUTION: This culture apparatus has a culture chamber 10 capable of storing many movable containers 14 storing the incubators 40, a relaying chamber 18 neighboring to the culture chamber 10, a treating chamber 24 neighboring to the relaying chamber 18, a container-passing box 26 neighboring to the relaying chamber 18, an incubator-passing box 30 neighboring to the treating chamber 24, and a transportation robot 44. The robot 44 delivers the movable container 14 among the culture chamber 10, the relaying chamber 18 and the container passing box 26, takes the incubator 40 in or out of the movable container 14 in the relaying chamber 18, and delivers the incubator 40 between the relaying chamber 18 and the treating chamber 24.
