<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting apparatus that enables an operator to easily discriminate the state, function, mode, etc., of the component mounting device on an operation display screen through color sensation. <P>SOLUTION: When the number of remaining components to be mounted is normal, backgrounds of a data display frame, a typical image display frame, and a menu display frame in a display area surrounding a center recognized image display area 50 are displayed uniformly in, for example, light green (a). When the amount of remaining components to be mounted reaches a predetermined remaining amount at which replenishment needs to be started, the layout of the display area surrounding recognized image display area 50 at its center is not changed and the background color of those display frames (display window) is changed from light green to yellow.
