PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, and receiving apparatus in which a communication velocity can be accelerated.

SOLUTION: A data pulse stream 24 is provided for representing data with a pulse stream. In the data pulse stream 24, channels are assigned to each of time slots resulting from fragmenting a pulse phase T2 into a plurality of time slots, and a communication frame is used to represent data of a plurality of bits in accordance with presence/absence of pulses in channels of the pulse phase T2. A data acquisition unit is then provided for acquiring data of a plurality of bits based on the presence/absence of pulses in the channels of the pulse phase T2 in the data pulse stream 24.
