The match box has drawer (2) which is inserted into the striking surface (1) and has a freely movable base plate (3). A narrow internal edge (4) is provided along the lower side of drawer frame so that it serves as boundary for the movable base plate. In the half shifted out drawer, fresh matches are filled in the upper surface (5) of the base plate and used matches are filled in lower surface (6).
