<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely inflate an air bag installed in a side door upward from an upper part of a door trim of the side door at the time of a side collision of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A gas generator 5 and the air bag 6 are installed between an inner panel 3 of the side door and the door trim 4 at the inside of a cabin in the vehicle. A hinge part 10 of a thin part linearly and long extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction and each of a plurality of transverse parts 11 of thin parts extending in the vehicle width direction are formed on an upper surface of the door trim 4. When the air bag 6 inflates upward at the time of the side collision of the vehicle, each of the transverse parts 11 is broken by the inflation force, and each section part 12 held by the adjacent transverse parts 11 in the vehicle longitudinal direction is pushed and opened by being rotated upward with the hinge part 10 as a center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
