PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a startup time of a computer when a user uses only a particular application. SOLUTION: After depressing a power key, various initialization is performed and a correction boot code is loaded from a master boot record. After jumping to the correction boot code, whether a main power key is depressed or a simplified power key is depressed is checked, an OS1 boot sector is loaded from a partition 1 when the main power key is depressed, an OS2 boot sector is loaded from a partition 2 when the simplified power key is depressed, and a jump is made to the boot code of the respective OSs.
