<p>PURPOSE: A method preparing an ascon filler from the stainless refining furnace slag is provided, to obtain an ascon filler with a desired particle size without additional pulverization process by employing dry cooling instead of wet cooling. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dry cooling the stainless refining furnace slag of a high temperature; and sieving the obtained powder into a size of 250 micrometers or less. Preferably the dry cooling comprises the steps of naturally cooling the stainless refinement furnace slag of a high temperature to a temperature of 800 deg.C or more; dry cooling the naturally cooled slag to a temperature range of 580-650 deg.C; naturally cooling the dry cooled slag in a temperature range of 500-570 deg.C; and dry cooling the naturally dried slag to a room temperature.</p> |
