The engine has a cylinder head (10) traversed by a drilling (12) in which an injector is arranged. An intermediate part of the injector is received in an airtight manner in a coaxial tube (22) traversing a coolant circulating cavity (24) of the head. The tube has an upper end (30) with a tapered face (34) of reduced conicity which cooperates, by hoping, with an inner wall of an upper cylindrical face (32) of the head. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a tube of a cylinder head of a heat engine.
