<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display apparatus capable of quickly setting the current value that should be supplied to a display element. <P>SOLUTION: Input voltage V<SB>I</SB>is inputted to the inverted input terminal of a differential amplifier 2 via a switching element S1 and a node N2. The differential amplifier 2 is driven in a voltage follower mode together with a PMOSFET Q2P. Thus, the PMOSFET Q2P is turned on, and the output voltage V<SB>O</SB>equal to the input voltage V<SB>I</SB>is outputted to an output node N4. Since the potential of a node N5 is VDL (=0V), the output voltage V<SB>O</SB>is applied to both the ends of a resistor element R0. Consequently, a writing current I<SB>EL</SB>is allowed to flow from a node NC into a power supply node N5, successively through a pixel 25P, a data line DL, the PMOSFET Q2P, and a resistor element R0. The current value (I<SB>EL</SB>) of the writing current I<SB>EL</SB>is calculated using I<SB>EL</SB>=V<SB>O</SB>/R0=V<SB>I</SB>/R0. Since the resistance value R0 is a previously set fixed value, the current value I<SB>EL</SB>is set directly according to the input voltage V<SB>I</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
