<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect the quality of a communication environment involving each radio communication equipment in an ad-hoc mode communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A station 30a detects the respective received signal strengths of radio signals transmitted from the other stations 30b-30i. Received signal strength information corresponding to each station 30b-30i is graded to a plurality of quality levels, respectively.
