HIGH-SENSITIVITY MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PHOSPHATE ION AND SILICATE ION USING ION EXCLUSION SEPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapidly measuring phosphate ion and silicate ion contained in test sample water with high sensitivity, and an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: This method for measuring silicate ion and phosphate ion contained in the test sample water comprises separating silicate ion and phosphate ion in the water by ion exclusion type ion chromatography using water or a dilute acid as an eluent and using a hydrogen type acescent cation exchange resin as a separation column; converting these ions to molybdophosphoric acid and molybdosilicic acid by a complex generating reaction with a molybdic acid or sodium molybdate/diluted acid solution; and measuring the ions by UV absorbance detection.
