PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effect of an electric field leaked from one sub pixel on another sub pixels, in a liquid crystal display wherein one pixel is constituted of a plurality of sub pixels having light transmittance values different from each other. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display (31), the one pixel is constituted of the plurality of sub pixels (32a, 32b, 32c), a common electrode (33a) is disposed on one side of a liquid crystal (35), counter electrodes (33b) divided for every sub pixel are disposed on the other side and a third lattice-shaped electrode (38) is disposed between the divided counter electrodes.
