PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel accompanied with no defective segmentation and to provide a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display panel, with which no defective product is produced by making a sealing material not flow out to the outside of a display region. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel LCD which comprises first and second substrates 10, 20 stuck to each other with the sealing material 32 on the outer circumference of the display region L interposed in between, and a liquid crystal and spacers 33 disposed on a part surrounded by the sealing material 32 and both substrates 10, 20, the liquid crystal display panel has a fence wall 31, with a height b<SB>1</SB>less than a distance (a) between both substrates 10, 20 in the display region L, arranged on at least one out of the first and second substrates 10, 20 along an outer circumference of the sealing material 32, wherein the substrates 10, 20 are stuck to each other so as to satisfy an inequality a>b<SB>2</SB>>b<SB>1</SB>, in the case a gap between a top portion of the fence wall 31 and the stuck substrate 10 (20) is represented by b<SB>2</SB>.
