<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell characteristics estimation device capable of easily installing cells even if they are thin, securing an even and constant cell clamping force, and capable of obtaining a stable estimation result. <P>SOLUTION: The cell characteristics estimation device has a pair of tube-shaped gas introducing tubes 9a, 9b for introducing corresponding gas on both faces of the cell, a pair of tube-shaped cell supporting tubes 8a, 8b arranged so as to surround the gas introducing tubes 9a, 9b at outside thereof, and a pressure adjusting part for adjusting a pressing force of the cell supporting tubes 8a, 8b against the cell.
