PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium stock totalling system and its method capable of counting stock information necessary for an operator as the amount of equipment which can be started to operate and efficiently stock control in a communication station, and a program thereof and a recording medium. SOLUTION: For totalling of the amount of equipment which can be started to operate (stock amount) of wiring equipment in the communication station, first, the operator or the like previously sets information about nodes or core wires of cables/terminals which are objects of stock management while classifying them into a directly accommodating system or multi-branching system. (1) The presence or absence of idle equipment directly below the equipment is checked, (2) coupling is searched from a system PKG, and a stock computation reference point group is obtained in which stock computation reference points to be coupling destinations are grouped, (3) (4) a path conforming to conditions with which operation is started is obtained from the group, and (5) the stock amount is acquired. If there is no idle equipment, (6) high-order terminus equipment is acquired from a unmatched point, (7) the presence or absence of the idle equipment directly below the equipment is checked, (8) a stock route is extracted, (9) stock conditions are matched, and (10) the stock route is extracted.
