摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a liquid crystal display and a liquid crystal display, which reduce leakage of light in oblique directions, to realize a higher display quality than the conventional methods and devices. SOLUTION: A bright and dark display pattern, where bright display pixels and dark display pixels are alternately arrayed in horizontal and vertical directions by each pixel and a polarity pattern, where positive-polarity pixels and negative-polarity pixels are alternately arrayed in the horizontal and the vertical direction by every other pixel are combined to drive the liquid crystal display device. According to such a driving method, an effect of the HT method resulting from time division, namely, a phenomenon (fading) that the screen appears whitish, when viewed from an oblique direction can be suppressed, while preventing flicker and burning of the picture.
