<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which improves the quality of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a color shift amount detector 40 for detecting the shift amount in a toner image formed by photoreceptors 11Y, 11M, 11C and 11K and an image forming position adjusting part 50 for adjusting the forming position for each toner image formed to each of the photoreceptors 11Y, 11M, 11C and 11K. Adjustment is made in forming positions of each toner image formed on each of the photoreceptors 11Y, 11M, 11C and 11K so that the adjusted amount in the forming position of the toner images of color K set before hand among toner images of colors Y, M, C and K is minimum under the condition that the adjusted amount of the forming positions of the toner images of the colors of Y, M, C and K are kept within a specified range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
