<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the impulse response between the actually measuring points with reducing the number of actually measuring points for measuring the binaural impulse responses, thus generating the sound of a moving sound source in more real. <P>SOLUTION: The estimator comprises a binaural response measuring part 30 for measuring the binaural impulse response at a plurality of specified positions on the moving route of a sound source, a binaural response memory 44 for storing the measured binotic impulse responses, an arrival time detector 31 for detecting the arrival time of sound to the ear of a hearing person from the sound source position about each of stored binaural impulse responses, an arrival time function approximater 32 for determining the arrival time approximate function approximating the arrival time as the function of the sound source position based on the detected arrival time, an instantaneous value function approximater 36 for determining the instantaneous value at each of mutually corresponding times about corrected binaural impulse responses, and a binaural response estimator 38 for estimating at least the binotic impulse response at the position between the plurality of specified positions based on the arrival time approximate function and the instantaneous value approximate function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
